WilPower....                       
...is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt, community-based organization in Northern Cook County.  WilPower, Inc. was founded in 1986 by parents, relatives, and people concerned about the rights and unmet needs of adults with serious mental illness.

WilPower's Mission...
WilPower partners with people with mental illness to recover and pursue lives of meaning and purpose.

WilPower's Vision...
WilPower will be the provider of choice for people seeking housing, work, skills training and social networks in a recovery focused setting distinguished by collaborative, innovative and effective support.

In the next three years, WilPower will increase resources in order to:

bulletAdd supported housing options to meet the needs of members at all stages of recovery, with a focus on apartment settings;
bulletAdd and strengthen the staff and peer support services to promote the creativity, skills, well being and goals of our membership;
bulletHeighten awareness of WilPower in northern Illinois;
bulletImprove the quality and quantity of space available for WilPower services and social activities;
bulletExplore community partnerships to further the benefits of WilPower services

WilPower Speaker's Bureau...

Would you like to enlist a speaker from the WilPower Speaker's Bureau?  Our goal is to provide education about the WilPower services available to adults with serious mental illness.  You will see there is hope through psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery services for you, a family member, or good friend.
